5 Reasons Why You Should be Printing Your Wedding Photos

So you’ve just had the day of your life and married your best friend. You may have even received your digital photos back already from your photographer and you’re all hyped up reliving the day all over again.

Now what? What happens to your photos after that? Do you just keep them on your usb that gets put in your junk drawer? Or store them on a folder on your desktop and cross your fingers that your laptop doesn’t die on you one day..?

Guys - Your wedding day memories deserve more than a Facebook album or a folder on your desktop!!

PRINT THOSE BABIES!

5 Reasons Why You Should be Printing Your Wedding Photos

1.) Technology is constantly changing

I remember when I was a teenager, every computer or laptop had a cd drive that I’d insert for pictures, music, ect. And now, not *too* long later, my last two computers haven’t had anywhere to insert a cd!! Could you imagine if your wedding was 15 years ago and your wedding photographer gave you your photos back on a cd and you didn’t get anything printed… where would you view them today if your computer didn’t have the option for a cd? But you know what has always been reliable? Prints. Albums. My parents wedding album - still there. My baby pictures - still there. And I’m so thankful my parents took the time to print them for me.

This digital world is changing so quickly. Don’t rely solely on your USB or digital back up system on your computer!

2.) To touch is to feel

There’s something about holding prints in your hands that feels so much more powerful than scrolling through them on your computer. Seeing your wedding photos is nice, but the emotional response your body undergoes when touching them as an album or print is amplified. I don’t know about you, but I love going through old photo boxes and flipping through all the prints… stacking them into piles, passing them on to the person sitting next to me. Nothing can beat that. There’s a different feeling you get when holding the pictures between your finger tips that you get, that you won’t get looking on a computer screen.

3.) Wall Art

Your photos deserve to be showcased! Wall art can be the perfect way to decorate your home with your favorite images. We’ve all been to a friend or family member’s house whose walls are covered with stock photos and generic art that they bought at Homegoods. How much more significance would those walls have if you replaced those meaningless photos with ones of your family or spouse?

4.) Albums and wall art are a great conversation piece

Many of your friends and family are going to be interested in seeing your wedding photos after the big day. Do you really want to pull up all 800 images for them to scroll through, or would you rather give them a wedding album to flip through your favorite moments of the day? (Albums also make the PERFECT Christmas or birthday gifts for parents ;)

5.) Your future children and grandchildren will be happy you did

When you print your photos, you’re not the only one who gets to enjoy them. What better way to share life’s greatest memories with those closest to you who may not have even been a thought in your mind on the greatest day of your life? It will allow your children and grandchildren to experience those memories and for you to introduce them to family members they may have not gotten the chance to meet.
